Our data is open and most of what people want to do with it needs no permission at all. Here is what is already free, and where it makes sense to talk to us.
Free, no permission needed
- Put our live board on your site. The border wait-time widget is free for hotels, tourism sites, newsrooms and anyone else. One line of HTML, no account, no tracking.
- Republish our charts and figures. CC BY 4.0 — including commercially — with credit. See how to cite us.
- Download the open data. Our processed datasets are on the data page.
Worth a conversation
Newsrooms
We can prepare a custom cut of our archive for a story, check a figure before you publish, or explain what a measurement does and does not support. No charge — accurate use of the data is the point.
Data licensing
If you want our archive as a feed inside your own product, or a longer history than the public downloads carry, write to us and describe what you need.
Tell us about a source
If a public agency publishes travel or border data we are not relaying yet, we want to hear about it — particularly if it is measured rather than estimated, and published on a schedule we can read.
What we will not do
We do not accept paid placement, sponsored figures, affiliate links inside our data pages, or any arrangement that would let a third party influence what our numbers say. The entire value of this site is that its figures are not for sale. We also do not buy or sell links.
